Je suis un artiste indépendant (pas de label …) irlandais mais je réside en France. J’identifie ma musique à du blues contemporain aux influences Pop Rock, Northern Soul, Country and Rhythm and Blues. Je suis inspiré par des artistes tels que Tony Joe White, JJ Cale, Jimi Hendrix, The Small Faces, Traffic, Fleetwood Mac, Doctor Feelgood, Sly and The Family Stone, Ian Dury and The Blockheads, Luther Allison, Freddie King… la liste est longue. Mon son, au style unique, est un cocktail de Blues, Rock, Soul, et Funk. Je suis musicien et songwriter depuis longtemps mais j’officiais jusque là dans des groupes, à la guitare et à l’ harmonica (membre du célèbre groupe Mod Revival Long Tall Shorty dans leur période Rhythm and Blues, j’ai produit leur album « Women and Trouble » en 2006). Mon album « Jeff ‘The Fish’ Lefroy & His Missadventures » sorti en 2023, a été mon premier projet solo.
Il est maintenant temps d’écouter de nouveaux morceaux mais cette fois, pas d’album, je vais sortir un single toutes les 6 semaines durant toute l’année 2025 (soyez prêts!).
Je suis accompagné de fabuleux musiciens : Matt Cowley à la batterie, Bennett Holland aux claviers, Isabelle Durel aux chœurs, Jean Guy Pierozak à la basse, Kieran Eaton aux cuivres, et croyez-moi, ça sonne bien!

A little bit about me: I’m an independent artist (no label etc). I’m Irish but now based in France and I would describe my sound as contemporary Blues, but with a lot of other influences ranging from Pop Rock, Northern Soul, Country and Rhythm and Blues and I am inspired by a broad selection of artists such as Tony Joe White, JJ Cale, Jimi Hendrix, The Small Faces, Traffic, Fleetwood Mac, Doctor Feelgood, Sly and The Family Stone, Ian Dury and The Blockheads, Luther Allison, Freddie King… the list goes on, it’s a broad sound all wrapped up in my own unique style, an accessible mix of Blues, Rock, Soul, and Funk. I have been a Musician and songwriter for quite a long time, but until now always as part of a group. I’ve played Guitar and Harmonica for numerous bands over the years (I was a member of famous Mod Revival band Long Tall Shorty in their Rhythm and Blues period and produced their 2006 album « Women and Trouble ») but « Jeff ‘The Fish’ Lefroy & His Missadventures », my album which came out in 2023 was my first totally solo project in which I played 80% of the parts myself. Now it’s time for new music and this time instead of an album I will be releasing a single every six weeks for the entirety of 2025 (so stand by!). I’ve got some great musicians on board, Matt Cowley on Drums, Bennett Holland on keyboards, Isabelle Durel on backing vocals, Jean Guy Pierozak on Bass and Kieran Eaton handling the brass side of things, and boy, they sound good. I’m totally excited and we are having a lot of fun.

J’ai écrit cette chanson très positive sur le verso du billet du bâteau qui m’amenait loin de mon chez moi, pour vivre à l’étranger. J’étais plein d’espoir et exalté à l’idée d’un nouvel avenir, d’un nouveau départ dans la vie. Je savais qu’un jour je l’enregistrerai et voilà, nous y sommes, accompagné du groupe français « The Missadventures » de Perpignan..
I wrote this very positive song many years ago on the back of my ticket on the boat as I left my home country to live abroad. I was full of optimism and looking forward to a new future and starting again. I knew one day I would record it, and here it is at last, featuring the French band from Perpignan « The Missadventures ».

Nous sommes là, assis confortablement, admirant le coucher de soleil, mais nous ne pouvons pas nous empêcher de penser à ce que l’avenir nous réserve, en bon ou en mal. Le message est de vivre pleinement le jour, car on ne sait pas de quoi demain sera fait et la vie est pleine de surprises.
Sunset is a summery song with a slightly deceptive feeling , a duet with my long time friend and fabulous singer Sharon Jackson . As we sit in comfort tonight watching the sunset, we can’t help but wonder what tomorrow may have in store, good or bad ? EMIGRANT SONG (I'M LONG GONE)
Je suis un immigrant. J’ai émigré plus d’une fois. J’ai émigré au Royaume – Uni depuis l’Irlande à l’âge de dix – huit ans, puis en Espagne et maintenant en France, où je vis aujourd’hui. Cette chanson parle d’une situation que beaucoup d’immigrants reconnaîtront. Ce sentiment de ne jamais vraiment s’intégrer dans son nouveau pays, mais aussi, lorsqu’on retourne dans son pays d’origine, de ne plus s’y sentir à sa place non plus, cette étrange impression de ne plus appartenir à aucun endroit. Il est facile pour les gens de vous dire de vous intégrer, mais la réalité est beaucoup plus difficile, même lorsque vous avez appris une nouvelle langue et un nouveau mode de vie, une partie de vous – même ne parvient jamais à s’intégrer complètement.
I am an immigrant. I have emigrated more than once. I emigrated to the UK from Ireland at eighteen years old, and since to Spain and now France where I live. This is a song about a situation many immigrants will recognise. How it feels to never quite fit in in your new country but also when you return to the country you came from you no longer fit in there either, a strange feeling of no longer belonging anywhere. It’s easy for people to tell you to integrate but the reality is a much harder thing to do, even when you have learnt a new language and way of living, somehow a part of you will never connect..

On peut dire que dans ces temps instables, il est difficile de ne pas s’inquiéter pour l’avenir de « notre » monde. Nous sommes divisés et tout semble virer en film catastrophe.
L’autre nuit je n’arrivais pas à dormir, je me suis levé, j’ai écouté de la musique pour me vider l’esprit, et j’ai écrit cette chanson …

Derrière chaque artiste se cache un soutien indéfectible, dans mon cas, il s’agit de ma femme Valérie. Je ne suis pas du style à lui offrir une carte ou des fleurs, mais je peux écrire une chanson. Ça groove et ça bouge, ça lui ressemble en fait. En tout cas, c’est une chanson d’amour, du plus profond de mon cœur.
DON'T BLAME THE POLITICIAN
Salut! Comment ça va? Tu en as assez de ces années de politique toxique? Tu en as marre de choisir entre pas bon, mauvais ou franchement mauvais? Et cerise sur le gâteau, tu dois écouter les gens se plaindre des politiciens qu’ils ont eux mêmes élus, sans réfléchir à comment ce choix allait impacter leur vie … Nous savons tous que les politiciens, partout dans le monde, sont accros au pouvoir et obnubilés par leur enrichissement personnel, c’est plus fort qu’eux, ils ne peuvent pas résister, c’est le jeu.
D’une manière ou d’une autre, nous nous persuadons qu’ils sont de notre côté, qu’ils se soucient de nous, mais c’est rarement le cas.
Quoi qu’il en soit, je me suis senti tellement frustré et déçu ces derniers temps, que j’ai écrit cette chanson speed et bluesy, qui me permet de vider mon sac (Ouf, ça soulage lol). J’espère que tu vas aimer, monte le son, et lâche toi!
Hi, how are you? Are you tired of what seems like years of toxic politics? Fed up with a choice between bad, also bad and even more bad? and then on top of that we have to listen to people complaining about politicians that they themselves voted for without properly thinking about how it would affect them.. We all know that most Politicians all across the world are just interested in power and personal gain, that they can’t help themselves and it’s the nature of the game, yet somehow we convince ourselves that they are on our side and looking out for us, when this is rarely the case. Anyway, I have found it all so frustrating and disappointing recently that I wrote a song about it. It’s a bluesey romp where I got a few things off my chest (phew, I feel better now lol). Anyway I hope you like it. Turn up the volume and let it rip!

J’ai joué de la plupart des instruments sur cet album qui a été enregistré à Londres, mais j’ai reçu l’aide de quelques-uns de mes talentueux amis :
Mon mentor et professeur de guitare Steve Roberts, mon ami et mentor T Preston qui m’a aidé à devenir assez confiant pour monter sur scène, sans oublier Jeremy Cox qui a brillamment enregistré cet album, je n’aurais pas pas pu rêver mieux.
Cet album est dédicacé à Steve Roberts et Tony « Perfect » Morrison qui nous ont tristement quittés, sans eux, rien n’aurait été possible.
